iYellow Sept. 22nd Wine Tour Review
What an amazing September Wine Tour! We especially want to thank Peller Estates for all they did for us this tour. Every iYellow Tour gets better and better! Here is what we experienced on September 22nd.
~
We arrived at Peller Estates on a beautiful fall day, Mark Torrence and Peggy greeted us at the door with a refreshing glass of Sauvignon Blanc. Peller is one of those amazing wineries that you could stare at all day long. It is picturesque and really makes you want to stay all day long...like we did.

Our tour started out in the Vineyard where our group was able to drink our glass of Sauvignon Blanc and compare it up against the Sauvignon Blanc grapes, still hanging on the vine. Lawrence Buhler, the Winemaker, had plans to harvest them, but he was letting them hang a little longer to ensure perfect acidity. Mark taught us about the winery, and gave us a real in depth look at the vineyard and the harvest at Peller. We then went right into the vines, taking pictures and trying a few more grapes along the way. Mark, you're awesome and thanks for the tour!

We then made our way up to the VIP tasting Reserve Room. There we tried new vintage releases of the Private Reserve Riesling, Pinot Gris and Gamay Noir. Peggy was amazing at leading the tasting, and very informative in describing the glassware and its importance in wine tasting. Everyone learned a lot and loved the wine - The 2006 vintage was just phenomenal. Thanks Peggy for an unforgettable wine tasting!

After the tasting we were all quite hungry and talkative too ;). We sat down in the private dinning room at the Peller Restaurant and started off with a glass of Ice Cuvee - which was out of this world!!! We had a 3 course lunch and a matching glass of Peller wine with every course. The food was absolutely stellar and the man behind it all, Jason Parsons came out and gave us an intimate insight into the food. I think the dessert and the Icewine was the hit of the meal.

Pax and I drooled over the Chocolate Cheescake and the Cab Franc icewine. The most talked about dish was the PB&J (Peanut Butter and Jam) - and boy was that delicious too. Erica and Lou, our servers didn't miss a step in the service (and I should know :P since I worked there too) they were absolutely amazing and certainly made the ending to the Peller Experience to say the least AWESOME!!!

With our stomachs full, and mouths yearning for more wine we made our way over to the Grape and Wine Festival at Montebello Park in St. Catharines. We drank more wine, listened and danced to jazz and blues and enjoyed more Niagara vino.

The perfect end to the perfect day was the finale icewine tasting at Vineyards Estate Wines on Queens Quay. THANK YOU PELLER FOR AN UNFORGETABLE DAY IN WINE COUNTRY.
