Our October 24th iYellow Wine Tour was an awesome way to spend an Autumn day in Wine Country! We began the day with a tasting at Cave Spring winery. Cave Spring is in the quaint town of Jordan Village. At Cave Spring we headed down to the barrel cellar area and had the opportunity to compare some Cave Spring wines with wines from Germany, France and Australia- what a great experience and Cave Spring stood up very well, if not better than the other wines! A big thanks goes to Brian for leading a great tasting!

Next, we had a great gourmet picnic lunch and spent a couple of hours in Jordan Village where we shopped and enjoyed the Indian summer...(BTW Cave Spring has a great Late Harvest Reisling called Indian Summer!) Pax and I found a great little lunch area and went for an hour long hike, it was awesome and was a great way to open our eyes to the true delight of the Beamsville Bench

We then hopped on the bus and took the scenic route to Angels Gate Winery. We got to sample some Cabernet Sauvignon grapes still on the vine and got to see the Toronto skyline from the vineyard. It was an awesome view and Jeannie at the winery sure made our stay a lot of fun!

Our next stop was Thirty Bench Winery, which was literally right across the road from Angels Gate, so we walked across the road and once again found ourselves looking across the lake to Toronto...and the winery was surrounded by vines, gorgeous! We tried our third riesling of the day and a few more other wines. Lyndsay was our wine consultant and she was awesome!

We then headed back to Toronto with a quick stop at Tim Hortons to get us all home after a long and relaxing day in wine country. Our next tour is November 24th. It's gonna be a blast so RSVP today!
