Tony Aspler on The Ontario Wine Awards - Video Interview

Tony Aspler, famous wine writer and author of The Wine Atlas of Canada, took a moment with us at Crush Wine Bar to tell us a little bit about the Ontario Wine Awards. Mr. Aspler, as well as other wine judges, such as Toronto Sommelier Zoltan Szabo and Toronto Star Columnist Gordon Stimmell, were tasting and judging wines all day.

Tony Aspler founded the Ontario Wine Awards in 1995, and now in its 12th year the mission of the Awards is "to provide recognition for outstanding Ontario wines and the people who are dedicated to producing a superior product. These awards enhance the profile of Ontario wines in the world market, opening doors to new opportunities for Ontario wineries."

There will be a consumer event June 12th at the Distillery District in Toronto, where the public is invited to partake in the festivites and taste the award-winning wines!

The Ontario Wine Awards Gala will be taking place on April 21st at the Queen's Landing Hotel in Niagara-On-The-Lake. Tony Aspler and Toronto's very own "Gangsta of the Grape,"
Deacon Dr. Fresh will be the co-hosting the event. You can find out more about the awards & events at ontariowineawards.ca
